Morawa
Located 370km north of Perth (via Three Springs) and 187km southeast of Geraldton, Morawa is a typical northern wheatbelt town servicing the surrounding farms. In springtime the area around Morawa, like so much of the Midwest, is ablaze with wildflowers. Morawa is a favourite with visitors to the Midwest for its natural scrubland, historical buildings, and native wildlife.
The main local industries in Morawa consist of wheat, grains, legumes, sheep, pastoral, agriculture support industries, agricultural college, and mineral exploration. Morawa is home to the first shipment of iron ore from Australian shores.
