The Murchison Health Service incorporates the provision of services to Meekatharra, Wiluna, Sandstone, Mount Magnet and Cue catchment areas. The Mount Magnet Nursing Post is accessible for emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days aweek.

The Murchison Health Service provides services aimed to prevent illness, promotehealth, support individuals/families in their homes, reduce the impact of disease ortrauma, and to maintain independence and quality of life for residential aged care facility residents.

• The Nursing Post located in Mount Magnet offers –
  Acute and Emergency services
  Medical practitioner clinic – 4 days per week
  Mine medical examinations
  Monthly GRAMS clinic – female medical practitioner
  Monthly female practitioner clinic
  Visiting Specialists – ENT / Ophthalmology / Physician
  School clinic - daily
  Community visiting services 
  HACC – home care and home delivered meals
  Child Health clinic - weekly. 
  Chronic disease management – Diabetes, Aged Care
  Videoconference facilities allow for local consultation with specialists in Perth 
  Inter district consultation with the Diabetes Educator
  Immunisation clinic
  Assistance for travel to specialist visits - PATS
  
  
• Primary and Allied Health visit Mount Magnet weekly, and are located in the Nursing Post and offer –
  The Cubby family fun centre - offers fun and activities for children and their parents in the town. 
  Occupational Therapy – referral / assessment and therapy
  Speech Pathology – referral / assessment and therapy
  Health worker services – support and advocacy
  Physiotherapy (monthly)
  Podiatry (monthly)
  Paediatric Physiotherapy (monthly)
  Speech pathology
